Support Groups

Diabetes Support

Meet with others who have diabetes and who deal with the issues of diabetes management on a day to day basis. Topics range from educational information about management principles to dealing with the emotional and social aspects of diabetes. There is no charge to attend the support groups

Union Hospital Diabetes Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month on the 3rd floor of the Union Hospital Professional Office Building in the Break Room. For specific times, consult the Event Calendar on the Home Page.

Living Beyond a Diagnosis - Cancer Support

Created and ran by a local survivor, this is a community-based support group for anyone who has been diagnosed with any type of cancer. The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at Union Hospital in the lower level of the West Building. For more information, contact Tess Burton at tessburton91@gmail.com or 812-241-0771. Ostomy Support

This group is dedicated to the education, support and rehabilitation of anyone who has undergone ostomy surgery. The group meets the first Thursday of every month. For more information, please call (812) 238-7370.

 

NICU Family Support Group

This group meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 6-7 p.m. in Classroom 2 of the Landsbaum Center for Health Education. Current and past NICU families are welcome to attend. For questions or more information, call 812.238.7372.
